Urgent-call answering service

The urgent-call line that knows a burst pipe from a price quote

When someone’s basement is flooding, they don’t leave a voicemail — they call until a person answers. Cara answers, recognizes a truly urgent call from the way the caller describes it, flags it as urgent, and books the routine calls for later.

Cara sorts every call as it comes in

She knows an urgent call when she hears one

Urgent — “The basement is flooding”, 7:20 p.m. → flagged urgent and in your hands minutes later
Estimate — “I’d like a quote for a new install” → booked on the ClearLine365 calendar

24/7 call coverage. Every lead captured. Every caller heard.

A missed call is a missed job

Why “we recognize urgent calls” is empty without real triage

Plenty of services claim to spot urgent calls. Here’s what actually happens when the after-hours call comes in.

Voicemail, at the worst possible time

A caller with water rising who hits a recording hangs up and goes straight to whoever picks up. The most valuable call of the week is the easiest one to lose.

A message-taker who can’t tell what’s urgent

A generic operator logs a burst pipe and a routine quote the same way. The urgent call sits in a callback pile while the water rises.

Alerts that all look the same

A line that pings you the same way for every call trains you to ignore it — and the one that mattered gets missed with the rest.

What Cara does on every call

A receptionist who answers, triages, and books.

Not a message service — Cara does the whole job, the same way on every plan.

Knows an urgent call from an estimate

Cara asks the questions you would ask, flags the burst pipe or the dead furnace as urgent, and texts you a minute or two after the call — while the quote requests get booked for later.

24/7 call coverage, around the clock

Nights, weekends, and while you’re on a job — Cara picks up in your company’s name and a voice you pick from 23. The call you’d have missed becomes a captured lead instead of a voicemail nobody leaves.

Books the job — on every plan

Cara books on every plan, not just the expensive one: onto the ClearLine365 calendar — and, from Starter, onto the Google, Microsoft 365 or Apple calendar you already use. Name, number, and what they need land on the website and in your inbox a minute or two after the call ends.

A published overage rate on every plan

Go over your plan’s included minutes and you pay your plan’s published per-minute rate — printed right on the pricing page, from $0.35/min on Basic down to $0.22/min on Pro, so your rate gets cheaper as you grow. No surprise bills, no forced upgrade, no automatic tier bump. Your meter warns you at 80%. Your plan changes only when you change it.

The lead in your pocket

Alerts in the app and by email a minute or two after the call ends, with the summary — the full transcript fills in shortly after. The ClearLine365 app keeps every caller, lead, and booking in your hand between jobs. The iPhone and Android apps are in early access. Setup ends with the iPhone install link. For Android, email support@clearline365.com and we’ll add you to the test. Public app-store listings are coming.

Spanish calls captured, delivered in English

Cara understands a Spanish-speaking caller and hands you the lead in English — name, number, and what they need, ready to act on. You choose how she opens: English, Spanish, or a bilingual greeting that invites the caller to continue in Spanish.

How it works, in four steps

1

Forward your calls to Cara

Keep your number and route calls to Cara. She uses an urgent-call triage list tuned to your trade, and you edit the keywords in settings.

2

She listens for a truly urgent call

Cara asks the questions you’d ask and recognizes urgency from how the caller describes the problem — not a generic script.

3

She flags the call that can’t wait

A truly urgent call is flagged as urgent, with the details, a minute or two after it ends, so you can decide the response — call back, roll a truck, or book it — while routine estimates get booked for later.

4

You respond fast, with the full picture

The alert carries the caller’s name, number, what’s happening, and the transcript — so you’re never guessing when it’s urgent.

Questions, answered

How does Cara know what’s urgent?
She uses a triage list tuned to your trade — burst pipe, no heat, sparks from the panel, sewage backup — and recognizes urgency from how the caller describes it. You add or edit the keywords in settings. If a call sounds life-threatening, Cara tells the caller to hang up and dial 911 first.
How fast do I hear about an urgent call?
Within a minute or two. For a call Cara triages as urgent, she alerts you as soon as her notes land — in the app and by email — flagged urgent, so you can respond fast.
Does she wake me for routine calls too?
Every lead texts you as it lands, and urgent ones are flagged so you can tell at a glance. Texts come day and night. The texts switch in Settings turns them all off, day included; leads still wait for you in the app and your email.
What if Cara isn’t sure a call is urgent?
She captures the full details and alerts you right after the call, so a borderline call still reaches you fast — you’re never out of the loop.
